Perspectives, dashboards, and charts are the building blocks for self-service dashboards and a rich data analysis experience:
A perspective is a group of dashboards and charts, usually focused on a common function such as finance or sales.
A dashboard is a container for grouping a series of charts or other data analysis often by a theme or subject.
A chart visualizes your data. Review Reference: Chart Types to pick a chart that works best for the information you want to visualize.
The perspective overview displays available perspectives in grid view or list view (shown in the inset). This is your starting point to view dashboards and present data, or manage perspectives, such as share and collaborate.
1 Dashboards Link: Brings you back to the Perspectives overview where ever you are in Dashboards.
2 Perspectives toolbar: Create a perspective, sort perspectives in ascending or descending order, and view perspectives as tiles or in a list.
3 Perspectives sidebar: Switch between viewing a list of perspectives, list of sent snapshots, and list of snapshot schedules.
4 Grid View: Browse perspectives as tiles.
5 List View: Browse perspectives in list format.
The perspective details is where you go to view or edit the contents of a perspective, including dashboards and charts.
