I am attaching template which is in Excel Workbook format type in my client’s report but I am encountering the following error:
"The template you have attempted to upload uses a format that is not supported for new reports. You must select a template that adheres to the Adaptive Planning 4.0 format."
Can you help me with regard to this AP 4.0 format?
Typically when a user receives this error message, it means that they did not create the template using the Excel output of the report from Adaptive Insights as the base or they deleted the Report Data and Report Info tabs from the template or that one of these tabs have been renamed "Report". It is best practice to avoid naming a tab "Report" as this can cause errors when running the report.
In order for the template to work, you will need to ensure none of the tabs are called "Report". If the error persists, you will need to attach a blank template to the report, run the report as template and then add additional tabs for the formatting changes. While you cannot delete the Report Data and Report Info tabs, you can hide them and the template will attach without error.
