What kinds of notes are visible within Reports, and how do I modify how they are displayed?
There are three types of notes that can appear in Reports:
- Cell Notes: applied to specific intersections within sheets, and will be either visible or hidden based on the 'Show cell notes' option in 'Report Properties'. Their contents cannot be edited directly from the Report, but rather directly from the sheet and cell they are present within.
- Line Notes: applied to rows on the Report by right clicking and selecting 'Add Line Note' after saving within the Report viewer screen. Their display can be customized from the 'Notes' dropdown menu within 'Report Properties' and the Report viewer.
- Report Notes: applied to the entire Report by selecting 'Add Report Note' from the 'Notes' menu at the top of the Report viewer screen, and will always appear as footnotes under the 'Report Notes' header at the bottom of the Report they are applied to. Their contents can then either be edited or deleted.
