Disconnecting a Link

If needed, you can disconnect a link between OfficeConnect for Excel andOfficeConnect for PowerPoint. When you do this, the table or chart remains a static object in the slide.

To disconnect a link from OfficeConnect for Excel:

  1.  In OfficeConnect for PowerPoint, open the presentation that contains the link you want to disconnect.

  2.  On the File tab, click Info.

  3. Click Edit Links to Files.

  4.  In the Links dialog box, click the link you want to disconnect.

  5.  Click Break Link.
The link reference is removed from the Links dialog box.

  6. Click Close.

The link is now disconnected. The table or chart is still useful on the slide, but will not be updated with dynamic data from OfficeConnect for Excel.
