Managing Labels in Reports

Set up Label Types and Values

Set up labels by using the Label Definitions dialog box. This article explains label types and gives you an idea of how you might use them in an OfficeConnect report.

To explore the label types and values available:

  1. Select an empty row, column, or cell, or select multiple cells.
Select an empty row if the label is to run across columns. For example, if you want to add the {Fiscal Period} label to relative time elements, select an empty row above or below the time headers that read similar to -2 Quarters or -1 Quarter.
  2. Click Labels from the OfficeConnect tab. The Label Definition dialog appears.
If the Labels option is not active, the selected row, column, or cell has metadata applied and a label cannot be applied.
