Workbook and Selection Properties Fields

Defines each field of the Workbook Properties and Selection Properties menus in OfficeConnect reports.

To save any changes you make to workbook or selection properties, click Refresh. 

Workbook Properties

Field Description Can be Overridden?

Summary Tab

Book name Enter the name of the file.  No
Description Enter optional text to describe the report. No
Report Date

Select the date. 

If the report's time elements are relative, the report shifts the data according to the date selected.

Default: today's date.

Make new time element relative to report data

For New Reports:

Select the checkbox to make the Time elements you add to the report relative to the Report Date.  The Time elements shift according to the Report Date.

Clear the checkbox to make Time elements you add to the report  absolute, so they don't shift with the report date.

For Existing Reports:

Check the checkbox to make only new Time elements you add to the report relative to the Report Date.

Clear the checkbox to make any new Time elements you add absolute so they don't shift with the Report Date.

Filters Tab

Enable filters

Select the checkbox to filter the workbook's data. The activated workbook filters are filtering data only if they are check marked. 

Clear the checkbox to deactivate check marked filters. Data won't be filtered.

Search  Enter a word or phrase to narrow the list of filters.  N/A

Tells reports to  round numbers to the nearest:

  • Hundreds

  • Ten Thousands

Show zeros in cells with no data

Tells report how to display cells with no data: 

  • Select to show zeros where no data exists.
  • Clear to show blanks where no data exists.

Hides rows if all their cells are zero WHEN you click the Hide Zeros & Blanks SuppressZeroandBlanks.png from the ribbon.

If you select Show zeros in cells with no data, this option also hides those rows that have all blanks.

Hide the row:  Hides rows if all their cells are zeros WHEN you click the Hide Zeros & Blanks SuppressZeroandBlanks.png button from the ribbon.

Show the row: does not hide rows, even if you click the Hide Zeros & Blanks SuppressZeroandBlanks.png button from the ribbon.

Hide the row:  Hides rows if all their cells are blanks WHEN you click the Hide Zeros & Blanks SuppressZeroandBlanks.png button from the ribbon.

Show the row: does not hide rows, even if you click the Hide Zeros & Blanks SuppressZeroandBlanks.png button from the ribbon.

If you selected Show zeros in cells with no data as a workbook settings, this setting is obsolete.
