Swap Axis in Standard and Cube Sheets

Standard Sheets

You can swap the row and filter in standard sheets. By default, you see the accounts listed down the rows of the first column and you choose levels from the dropdown.

To swap the filter and rows, right-click in the first column, and select View by level. Now, the levels display down the rows of the first column and you can filter by Account. To switch back right-click in the first column and select View by Account

Swapping the Levels and Accounts

Cube Sheets

Click Swap Axis   to swap the current rows with the current columns. For example, if you have time displayed across the columns and accounts displayed down the rows, click this button to display accounts across the columns and time down the rows. With cube sheets you can make many changes to how rows and columns display (read below).

Change and Filter Time Spans in All Sheets

These display options are available to any sheet that has time ranges. To filter the time span of sheets:

  1. From the toolbar, click Display Options displayOptions.png.
  2. Click the Time tab.
  3. Select the Start and End of the time range you want to view on the sheet.
  4. Select the columns to display for each year listed (which is based on the options selected for Start and End). You can make different selections for each year listed.

Filter by Content in Modeled Sheets

This option is only available in modeled sheets. Modeled sheets often have rows and rows of content. If your modeled sheet is extremely large, Adaptive Planning asks you to filter before opening the sheet. Even if Adaptive Planning does not ask you, you can use content filters to reduce the size of your sheet or eliminate scrolling:

  1. From the toolbar, click Display Options displayOptions.png.
  2. Click the Filter tab.
  3. Select a column to filter.
For example, if your sheet lists employees, you can select Name to filter by name.

  4. Select the operator for the filter: begins with, ends with, contains, does not contain, and so on.
  5. Enter the letters, words, or numbers in the empty field.
For example, you can choose Name and begins with, and enter T. The sheet shows only employees with names that begin with T.

  6. Click the plus icon to add more rules to the filter. You can select a different column or the same column and a different operator to further filter the sheet.
For example, you can select Nameends with and enter E. Now the sheet shows only employees with names that begin with T and end with E.

  7. Click Add Group to add OR rules to your criteria.
For example, you can select Name and begins with again. Then, enter R. Now the sheet shows employees whose names begin with T and end with E as well as employees whose name begins with R.
  8. Click Apply.

Add AND rules with the plus icon and OR rules with Add Group button.
