When you are connected to Adaptive, you can drill-down to the data behind the value in cells or rows.
Italicized text indicates that the value was entered with a formula. You can see the formula behind the value:
- Verify that you are connected to Adaptive and that the cell has a calculated value (the text should be italics).
- If the Planning pane is not visible, click the Planning tab and click the checkbox next to Show Planning Pane, even if it's already selected.
- From the Planning pane, click the Information tab. If the cell has an Adaptive formula it appears under Cell info.
Cells with bold text or light blue backgrounds, although calculated, don't have formulas because the formulas were not manually entered by another user. Bold text cells are automatic totals, and cells with blue backgrounds are rollup values. Use Cell Explorer to understand the origins of the value.
Use Cell Explorer
You can explore the details of a cell with Adaptive's Cell Explorer, even when its value wasn't calculated.
Verify that you are connected to Adaptive. Then, right-click on a cell and click Adaptive > Explore Cell. Details about the cell opens in your browser with information about the cell and links to even deeper information.
Use Row Details
For modeled sheets (learn how to identify sheet types), you can explore either the cell or the row.
Verify that you are connected to Adaptive. Then, right-click on any cell in the row. Click Adaptive > Row Details. Details about the row opens in your browser with information about the row and links to deeper information.
