A value lookup translates a selection from a row of the sheet into time-based values. For example, benefits choices (HMO, PPO, and so on) may be associated with appropriate percentages. These percentages can then be multiplied by salaries to calculate benefits expense. The benefits choices and their percentages reside in a value lookup.
You can edit a value lookup from a modeled sheet's summary page. Or, you can edit lookups directly within the model sheet builder.
Before You Begin
Required permission: Model Management Access > Model.
How You Get There
From the nav menu, select Modeling. In the Sheets menu, select User Assigned Sheets or Level Assigned Sheets to view the list of sheets in your model.
Edit Value Lookups
From the list of sheets, select Edit next to the modeled sheet you want to edit.
From Sheet Summary, select Columns and Levels.
From the canvas, the center pane, select a custom Dimension or Text Selector.
In Properties (right pane), select Value Lookups.
Find the value lookup and click the pencil icon.
A sheet opens displaying rows for the dimension elements, and time period columns. Update the amounts in the cells.
