Adaptive Integration for Planning FAQ

  1. Can a Planning loader load data from multiple source systems?
Yes. Data from multiple source systems can be brought into Adaptive Integration’s staging area and then loaded into Planning through the loader.

  2. Can a Planning loader automatically create Accounts or Levels in Planning?
No. The plan is to add support for such capability in future releases.

  3. Can a Planning loader automatically create Dimensions in Planning?
No. The plan is to add support for such capability in future releases.

  4. Can a Planning loader automatically create Dimension members (values) in Planning?
If a dimension has the ‘Data import automatically creates dimension values’ flag enabled within the Admin UI of Planning, then such dimensions will have dimension members created on data import.

  5. Does a Planning loader automap new data during scheduled runs of a task (assuming the task contains the loader)?
No. Automap is only available through the data designer.

  6. I have created a scheduled run of a task that includes a Planning loader. If the source system has new data that has not been mapped to Planning accounts/levels/dimensions, will the scheduled task pause for me to map the unmapped items?
No. The exact behavior depends on what is missing. See Running the Loader for information on what happens during a loader run.

  7. Can I import Account or Level mappings through a spreadsheet upload?
    No.

  8. I am using Planning’s data import to load data using spreadsheets. Can I reuse the mappings that I have already created within the spreadsheet import for bringing data through Integration?
    No. See Using Mapping Profiles.
