PL Income Column Chart

Explains how to create a column chart from a blank template

To make a PL income column chart from a blank template:

  1. Click Dials    in the Component Library.

  2. Expand your company dials folder and click Create New Dial. The Create New Dial dialog appears.

  3. Select Column Chart from the list of templates and enter Total Revenue in the Name field.

  4. Click Create.

  5. Click the Total Revenue dial in the company dials folder and drag it to the location where you want it to appear. (If you are using the Visual Designer, you can just click to open it in the editing area.)

  6. Click Data Settings in the Editors menu.

  7. Select PL Income in the Account drop-down menu, and choose a name and abbre­viation (in the elearning module, Income is used for both).

  8. From the Version drop-down menu, select Actuals.

  9. Click Add at the bottom of the series pane.

  10. Select PL Income in the Account drop-down menu, and choose a name and abbreviation (in the elearning module, Income is used for both).

  11. From the Version drop-down menu, select From version selector.

  12. Select Time from the Break down data by drop-down menu:

  1. Click Apply.

  2. From the Editors menu, click Chart Settings.

  3. From the Legend Style drop-down menu, select Long Summary Table.

  4. From the Position drop-down menu, select Wide - Bottom Center.

  5. Click Apply.

  6. From the Editors menu, click Dial Zone Bands.

  7. Check all four boxes to enable all zone bands for the dial:

  8. Click Apply.

  9. Click Close. The completed dial:
