Available from Grid mode, Presentation mode, and Edit mode. You can get the data and refresh dashboards and charts with the latest information.
Click from the perspective toolbar.
Change the Time Range
Available in Grid mode, Presentation mode, and Edit mode. You can override the default time on a chart from the Time toolbar at the bottom of each chart.
Reset Time: Resets time to default time setting.
Period Range and Single Period: View data from a range of time or from a single period.
Time: Change the scope of time, such as from Month or Year.
Date Selector: Select a date range. From and To Date Selectors display when the Period Range is selected.
Change the Data Context
Available in Grid mode, Presentation mode, and Edit mode. Use the Perspective Context to change the scope of data analyzed. The perspective context changes the data evaluated for all charts in the perspective. For example, you can filter and show only data from a specific level, such as Americas or EMEA.
1 Click next to the Perspective title to expand the context menu. 2Change the context by choosing a selection from a drop-down. Click to hide the context menu bar and show a summary of the context selections. The following is an example of the Perspective Context when expanded.
You can add more context filters by editing the perspective.
View a Data Point Summary
Available in Grid mode and Presentation mode. You can view a tooltip on the data point when viewing a chart. Hover your mouse over a data point to view summary information about the data point,. Summary information includes time and data value.
Explore Data Point Details
Available in Grid mode only. You can view details of a data point using Cell Explorer. Click the data point and choose Explorer Data from the dropdown.
Drill into a Data Point
Available in Grid mode only. You can drill into a data point on a chart to help you pin-point the root source of the analysis. For example, if revenue is down for a product, drill deeper into the data to find anomolies, such as under-performing sales regions.
On the chart, click the data point and choose a dimension from the drop-down. Click back to return to the dashboard.
The following is an example of drilling down into a 1 KPI data point by 2 level, and 3 by location.
